Good things, those who wait, etc, etc

Finished! The website is now fully operational, with a bit of music (which people can buy if so inclined), some mindless ramblings (mostly mine), one video (it’s a start…), some choice rob-related links (my pages on myspace & bebo) & a pseudo-bio than my old flatmate Mary wrote.

The shop only lets you order CDs to the UK at this point btw – but leave me a comment if you’re somewhere else and you’re after a CD!

Also – Merry Christmas! Plus, it’s a double bonus because it’s New Year in a few days – we’re having a phat party at our flat which should be wicked.

I’ve had a domain name for a few years now, first playrob.com, then just recently I managed to get robhowell.com. They now both show the same website btw! Anyway, the last few years I studied computer science at St Andrews – so got I naturally got hassle from my geek mates there about the fact that I always had a holding page online – or a website that was so crap it would’ve been better used for a holding page. Now I’ve finally got a website with a complete set of functionality so can no longer be laughed at by the geek community. One of those geeks is Roja – please check out his spraff on his website. Note: I am in no way responsible for any questionable cookery tips or outlandish claims he may make.

Gig at the Eastgate Theatre, Peebles

    Place: Eastgate Theatre, Peebles, UK
    Date: 30 Dec 2006
    Time: 7.30pm

Open Mic night at the Eastgate – should be playing one or two of my new tracks there – a few covers, maybe something Christmas related. I wish most Christmas songs weren’t so crap though – any suggestions?

Built in a day? Not Rome, not my website.

So far I’ve got a few basic pages: a vaguely aligned gallery, a shop that doesn’t sell anything, etc…

But this is progress. It’s a step in the right direction, like (insert relevant simile here). An interesting sidenote: somehow I managed to spell relevant wrong just now, and the computer suggested that “lavender” might be the correct spelling. Sometimes Firefox is an idiot.

Anyway, since the new site’s currently as useful as (insert another, more offensively-worded, simile here), any interested people might instead want to watch this video:

      Love the almost-there website.

Gigs – Don’t forget Sat Dec 30th 7.30 Eastgate Theatre, Peebles
Also, our house, Christmas Day Evening seems fairly likely. xx
